Forest of Death is a small but effective Horror flick. It proves its knowledge of horror tropes and how to use them to its advantage. But at the same time it is smart enough not to fall for the genre clichés while delivering the goods.

In Brendan Rudnicki’s Forest of Death, there’s no intention of rewriting the genre’s rules or making a huge film. This is the proof of the importance of new filmmakers when it comes to experimentation and trials and errors being effective in the end.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. All of the other ratings must be by close friends of the "Director." There's nothing unique about the storyline. The acting is horrible. They must've borrowed the cabin from a friend because this film is so low budget that they weren't able to afford a pack of cards. There's a scene where they're playing cards and the cards are clearly made out of paper. I watched over 330+ films in the past year, most of which were in the Horror genre. This is the worst of the worst. I truly cannot remember the last time I saw something this bad in any genre.
