Type %AppData% in your Windows quick search toolbar, click the AppData folder in the file explorer search bar, double click on Local, then go to Larian Studios

When equipped, your character has a new "Conjure Burner Chest" spell that allows you to conjure a ground-targeted chest to dispose of unwanted inventory equipment. Fill the Burner Chest up, then use any attack to destroy the Chest. The items that you place in it are permanently deleted when you destroy the Chest.

Larian Studios mentioned that the issue is happening because of a firmware issue that causes the game to believe a save was completed when it hasn't been fully committed to the disk. It also plans to increase the number of save games that get uploaded via cloud saves to make this work-around easier for players.

However, when it comes to players' personal save files on their PC, they may be seeing their drivers being weighed down by Baldur's Gate 3 (via PC Gamer). Constant saving, or even save scumming after every decision you make in the game, can cause a build-up and increase your file size.

Since the talking brain can be used to aid you, you should help the talking brain unless you don't want to for roleplay purposes. Either way, you can continue the story by receiving the quest from someone else if you don't help the brain and receive the quest there.

To delete it ingame, you just goto profiles and hit the little x at the end of the profile, it should then if cross saves enabled, delete it on the backup as well..

Unfortunately, there's no way to boot a friend's custom character from the party as of Hotfix #4. Once somebody joins and makes their character, they are there to stay forever — at least, this was the case until Larian dropped Patch 2 (more on this below). Drop-in co-op exists in Baldur's Gate 3.

If you will be starting a new game, but played any other character previously, ensure you saved the game, and no progress will be lost in case you would like to come back.
