5 things Jennifer Aniston does every morning to feel happy, calm and ready for the day (2024)

Actor, producer, dog-mum, yogi and all-around Hollywood royalty, Jennifer Aniston, is as radiant as ever. At the Critics' Choice Awards this year, the Marley & Me, Friends and The Good Girl showed off that lit-from-within glow in a Dolce and Gabbana jumpsuit. What's her secret? We think it's down to her hugely covetable morning routine.

Keeping it simple, Jen sticks to a low-key system that's kept her happy and well for years and years. Speaking to E! Entertainment, the star of The Morning Show detailed exactly what happens after her eyes flutter open each day.

1. She meditates and journals

    First up, she gets zen. 'Meditation, that's a no-brainer,' she says. 'I also journal and if I don't get to do that, it's a bummer.' A far cry from our usual habit of eyes open, fumble for the alarm clock, rush to make a coffee, take a shower and eat breakfast simultaneously, we rate Jen's tranquil start to the day.

    2. She amps up her coffee

    As chief creative officer for collagen brand Vital Proteins, Jen adds some of the good stuff to her morning brew, one of the stalwarts of her rise and shine routine. 'That's sort of the ritual: Coffee, mediation; meditation, coffee, depending on the order,' she says.

    3. She walks her dogs

    Mum of three dogs (Clyde, Sophie and Lord Chesterfield), one of her morning tasks is walking and feeding them each day.

    4. She spends the first hour totally screen-free

    Something we majorly aspire to – leaving our phone be for the first hour or two of the day. Easier said than done, hey. But, it's a habit JA swears by.

    'No phones, no email no texting and no social media. No looking at any of that for a good hour, hour and a half,' the actor and producer says. 'I highly recommend doing a week of it, you won't believe the difference.'

    5. She gets plenty of sleep

    While not technically part of a morning routine, you're bound to look more rejuvenated if you wake up feeling refreshed, and Jen certainly does that by making sure 'I get my sleep,' Britain's News Channel wrote of her insight shared with Entertainment Tonight.
