Through the Dragon Age (2024)

Through the Dragon Age (1)

Anonymous quipped: i've been meaning to ask someone, and you know a lot about dragon age so.. if you were to do a rly fast playthrough of da:i, which quests would you do? just the main ones? or main + side quests that give war table missions? (i may or may not also use this info for future PTs because that is a Long Game) i hope my question makes sense, and thank you for your time! :>

Alright, so let’s do this. I’m going to list Main and War Tables that I’d do in a run, though you don’t have to follow it to a‘T’. For instance, you might not like the Templars and so don’t want to side with them. I simply recommend the quest as it shortens a later boss battle. Or maybe you don’t care about getting a particular companion? Skipping that quest would take out quite a bit of optional content too, but I’m assuming you want to get the most out of the game without playing through Allof it.

Beneath the Read More are more optional quests that can be used to enhance the story and gain Power; however, you can just seal Rifts and buy Power (once far enough in Skyhold) to continue through the story and skip those quests as well. I recommend that once you get the Power merchant in Skyhold, play Descent (which has a decent gold gain) and use the acquired gold to buy power as needed.

Main Quests

  • The Wrath of Heaven
  • The Threat Remains
  • Champions of the Just (side with the templars)
  • In Your Heart Shall Burn
  • From the Ashes
  • Here Lies the Abyss
  • Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts
  • What Pride Had Wrought, if you sided with the Templars you can avoid the final boss battle through dialogue
  • The Final Piece
  • Doom Upon All the World

War Table Missions
I would complete at least all race missions, so as Lavellan complete the Save Clan Lavellan line or The Carta Gets A Cut line for Cadash, etc. As well as Specialization missions, like Revere for Necromancer, Make for Aritificer, etc. If you make any optional Judgments (i.e. anything besides Florianne) be sure to follow up on thost on the War Table as well.

  • Investigate Redcliffe Castle (Sided with Templars)/Investigate Therinfal Redoubt (Sided with Mages)
  • Hunt Therinfal Redoubt Demon (Completed Investigate Therinfal)/Deal with Venatori Ally (Completed Investigate Redcliffe)
  • Scout Haven Ruins
  • Acquire the Arcanist
  • The Arcanist and the Fade
  • Specializations for the Inquisitor
  • Power for a Price (Unlocks Power Merchant, so you can get through Main Quests faster and without exploration)
  • Find Crestwood’s Mayor
  • Track Down Samson(If you sided with the Mages and need to complete Before Dawn quest)
  • Finding Samson’s Weakness (If you sided with the Mages and need to complete Before Dawn quest)
  • Bring Samson to Skyhold for Judgment (If you sided with the Mages)

Companions

  • A Friend of Red Jenny (Sera Recruitment)
  • Captain of the Chargers (The Iron Bull Recruitment)
  • The Imperial Enchanter (Vivienne Recruitment)
  • The Lone Warden (Blackwall Recruitment)
  • Last Resort of Good Men (Dorian Recruitment)
  • All New, Faded For Her (Solas’ Loyalty Mission)
  • Bring Me the Heart of Snow White (Vivienne’s Loyalty Mission)
  • Demands of the Qun (The Iron Bull’s Loyalty Mission)
  • Promise of Destruction (Cassandra’s Loyalty Mission)
  • Revelations (Blackwall’s Loyalty Mission) Ensures he shows up in Trespasser
  • Subjected to His Will (Cole’s Loyalty Mission) Ensures he’s in Trespasser
  • The Verchiel March (Sera Loyalty Mission) Ensures she is in Trespasser
  • Well, sh*t (Varric Loyalty Mission)
  • Perseverance (Cullen’s Mission)
  • Of Somewhat Fallen Fortune (Josephine Mission)
  • The Left Hand of the Divine (Leliana’s Mission)
  • Before the Dawn (if you sided with the Mages)
  • Under Her Skin (if you sided with the Templars)

DLC

  • Avvar Allies (Earn the Hold’s help)
  • Guests of the Hold (Earn the Hold’s help
  • Storvacker Caged (Earn the Hold’s help)
  • The Basin Beckons(part of Jaws of Hakkon’s side story-line)
  • What Yet Lingers(part of Jaws of Hakkon’s side story-line)
  • On Ameridan’s Trail(part of Jaws of Hakkon’s side story-line)
  • Ameridan’s End (part of Jaws of Hakkon’s side story-line)
  • Hakkon Winterbreath (part of Jaws of Hakkon’s side story-line)
  • The Descent (Main Quest)

tagged as: long post Walkthrough I tried? But honestly I'd have to play through a super fast playthrough to say exactly how to do it with how and where to get the easier power needed but right now I'm trying to play harder/higher level playthroughs and so it takes everything I can to level enough Anon ageofdragon responds
