Brooke, 26, holds a 3-1 record since turning her hand to influencer boxing and heads into the fight off the back of a dominant TKO victory over former Love Island star AJ Bunker. VanZant was one of the rising stars in the UFC before losing four of her final six fights in the octagon and she was released in 2020.

VanZant, 30, has since competed in bare-knuckle boxing and professional wrestling, as well as garnering a huge following from the risqué content she shares on OnlyFans and other platforms. Ahead of the fight, the pair sat across the table for an awkward exchange of their opinions on each other and how the fight played out.

The conversation was punctuated by a series of awkward silences as Brooke in particular took aim at the former MMA prodigy, “I think recently you're not as talked about anymore,” Brooke said. “You had your hype when you were in the UFC but now you've lost that pull. Whether it is views or people just being interested in you, I think you have fallen off.

“I think you don’t really care about fighting anymore. I think you probably make money elsewhere, I think that your heart is not in the game anymore and I think that is your biggest weakness.”

VanZant responded to Brooke’s dig that fans have lost interest in her fighting career by bluntly saying: “Is this your first time in a main event?” Brooke nodded in reply as VanZant smiled smugly back at her.

VanZant has called for the fighters to make an OnlyFans-themed side bet for the bout. "There should be,” she told MMA Fighting. “There should definitely be a side bet to this. But I don't know. She wouldn't shake my hand [during] fight week. So we'll have to touch back on this conversation after the fight."

Vanzant also proposed the pair should share a drink together after the fight in Texas, although Brooke had a firm warning for her opponent. “You won’t look very nice,” Brooke said. “You’re going to be all bloody and messed up and you will be like ‘I just got beat by an influencer, f--- that.'"
