the recipe for oats chilla is extremely simple, yet some tips, suggestion and variation for it. firstly, i heavily recommend to dry roast the oats before grounding it to fine powder. also i have used quick rolled oats and it can be roasted within minutes till golden brown. secondly, i have added just onion and tomato in terms of vegetables, but you can extend it with finely chopped capsicum, carrots and even broccoli. lastly, cook these pancakes in a non stick pan till it becomes golden brown in color. while roasting, spread some oil across the chilla so that it gets cooked evenly. further roast it on both the sides in turns and flip them carefully without breaking it.
