Story
Maya is a 5 year old tabby/calico kitty with a very sweet face. She can be incredibly sweet, and likes to be near her person; she is cuddly and purrs like a happy girl. She is also very social and enjoys greeting new visitors. We hope she can have some time being outdoors at a new home, as she loves to go outside a few times a day. She often naps indoors and loves to eat her kibble and is picky with food. She is also a complex kitty; when she feels threatened or irritated, she can bite or scratch. She does not like belly rubs at all, and this will lead to a scratch or bite. She does not like our female cat and female golden doodle dog, so we think she might be happier as a solo pet. I got Maya from a local woman, off of Craigslist as a kitten. At first she lived with my roommate's cat, that cat was older and ignored her. We want to rehome her because we are going to adopt a child and worry she might bite or scratch a child. Looking for a home where she will be loved and cared for.

Story
Rehoming my senior(11) cat, he is unhappy being in a home with young kids and now we have another baby on the way he would probably be happy and healthier in a slower and less chaotic home. He would need to be in a home with no kids and no dogs, ideally no cats. He is very aggressive towards dogs. He is slightly overweight and this is something we have been working on with him. He is mostly indoors but does like to lay out in the sun in our back yard, does not leave our yard though. Not overly affectionate but does occasionally rub against legs and ask for pets. Would be happy in a calm home with someone looking for an older kitty companion. No medical issues as far as we know. He will come with a cat tree and his food!

Story
Sagira has a great personality and would make a wonderful companion. She loves to be held and pet. She finds her special places where she likes to hang out, whether on the ottoman or on the back of the couch. She is a fair weathered cat, but does like to go outside. She communicates well with you to let you know exactly what she needs. She will snuggle up next to you and will sometimes watch tv with you. Sagira can be playful and likes to play peek a boo or play with a string, or her toy fish. She has been very friendly with the neighbors and likes to know what is going on.Sagira has been exposed to other animals. We had a cat that came and stayed with us for several days. Sagira watched from afar, and there were never any fights. She also has been exposed to the neighbor's dog who came to stay with us for a week. We did not have any issues there as well, but she kept her distance. I am going through health issues that make it difficult to provide the care she deserves.

Story
Suki is a lynx point (half tabby half Siamese) and she has so many beautiful sides to her. She is sweet and affectionate, but also very energetic and rambunctious at times. She loves to sleep just as much she loves to play. She has only ever lived with a single mom and teenage daughter, so I think a similar situation would be good for her or a single female. She has a natural tendency for deep bonding and it shows. If you are looking for a cat you can have a special bond with, I know Suki would love that and I would too. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circ*mstances we have had to make this very hard decision to rehome her, but I am using AdoptApet because I don’t want to just give her to anyone. I want her to go to a home where she will be deeply loved and cherished. If that sounds like you, please share your interest. I would love to know a little bit about you as well! xx

Story
Ellie loves every person she's ever met. Her happy place is curled up on your lap, on the back of the sofa near you, or in bed next to your pillow. Our nick-name for her is "little meeper" because rather than a meow, she makes little meeps when she's trying to get your attention. She'll also reach out with her right paw and tap you.Her favorite toys are little stuffed mice and a ribbon wand. She likes to scratch on the sisal pole of her cat tree and cardboard scratchersAs a lifelong indoor kitty, she's not an escape artist. And she's a surprisingly good mouser. Ellie is great with dogs. She's good with children who know how to behave with animals and isn't frightened by them being their energetic selves.Ellie has always lived with a dog and plays with our current dog. She has always had someone home with her so a home with someone in the house most of the time would be best. Ellie does not get along with other cats.
