Fans Are Worried Kortni Is on Drugs on 'Floribama Shore' (2024)

Floribama Shore is on its third season and it's safe to say that the show wouldn't be the same without the entire cast who started it all. Unfortunately, Kortni has been MIA for the majority of the season’s important moments so far and the rumors are flying. Some fans want to know if Kortni is on drugs, while others are convinced she is leaving Floribama Shore.

It's hard to imagine the show with a newcomer, but similar reality shows of the past have had to make due in similar fashion. E.g. Sammi Giancola on Jersey Shore, who was eventually replaced completely by Deena Buckner. But just because Kortni could be done with Floribama Shore, it doesn't mean anyone is ready to bid her farewell just yet. After all, who else would we be able to watch drunkenly urinating in public?

Is Kortni from Floribama Shore on drugs?

Kortni is known for being one of the hardest partiers on Floribama Shore, but that doesn't necessarily mean hard drugs are involved. Where some fans are concerned, however, that’s exactly what it could mean. After she succumbed to what seemed like a harsh stomach bug in the first few episodes of Season 3, fans took to Twitter to question whether or not she was in withdrawal rather than simply sick.

One fan tweeted, "I know drug withdrawal when I see it and Kortni is in serious withdrawal." Another fan responded to the tweet to agree and voice their concern for the cast member. Another fan on Twitter believes that Kortni’s hospitalization this season had less to do with tonsillitis and more to do with drugs. Kortni herself hasn't come out to admit to any kind of drug problem, but her time on Season 3 was definitely sullied by whatever kept her away from her roommates for so long.

Fans are also curious about Kortni's weight gain.

Another topic of discussion where Kortni is concerned is her weight. While there is nothing wrong with the way Kortni looks and her appearance probably shouldn't be up for discussion, some of her Instagram followers have been quick to point out what they see as flaws, whether it has been a weight loss or gain.

In fact, Kortni recently took to Instagram to explain her recent weight gain and defend herself. She explained in the post that no matter what she does or how she looks, people will find something wrong with her appearance. But, she added, it’s important to ignore all of the negative comments as much as possible.

Is Kortni leaving Floribama Shore?

Because of Kortni’s absence from some of the roommates’ recent nights out on Floribama Shore, it makes you wonder if it means she is leaving the show for good. Or, at least, for the remainder of the season. Luckily, she does appear in other scenes in the Season 3 trailer, so it's unlikely that she is dipping out for good. But because of her recent ailments, she might be out for the count a little longer.

Mattie's entrance could make the blow easier.

Before Floribama Shore Season 3 premiered, it was revealed that former Party Down South and Challenge star Mattie Lynn Breaux would join the cast. It wasn't clear how long Mattie will be with the rest of the roommates as they party, get kicked out of clubs, and drunkenly eat oven pizza at 3 a.m., but if Kortni needs some time off this season, it could explain Mattie’s presence.

Hopefully whatever Kortni is going through on Floribama Shore Season 3 can be remedied before she has to step out of the show for good. And until she says otherwise, it's safe to assume she just had some bad luck with her health shortly after arriving at the new beach house.
