How long should you leave 15 whitening gel on? ›

This teeth bleaching gel is designed for the teeth whitening fanatic who demands super white teeth but is too busy to sit still longer than 15-minutes.

Burns and Blisters. In rare cases, the bleaching agents used in teeth whitening can cause burns or blisters on your gums. This usually happens when the gel used is left on your teeth for too long or if it's not applied correctly.

The precise answer to this question can depend on your goals and the nature of the stains on your teeth. Generally, you'll start to see noticeable results in around 10-14 days.

You may wear your trays overnight if you have no sensitivities with 4 hours. As NON-refrigerated whitening products break down and degrade during storage and shipping, hydrogen ions are produced. Those hydrogen ions are acid (pH = potential of Hydrogen). Whitening gels therefore become more and more acidic as they break down, resulting in an ever increasing possibility of sensitivity and pain.

Dentists typically recommend getting one or two professional whitening treatments per year. At-home whitening kits can be used for up to 14 consecutive days. People who have gotten professional whitening can maintain their results by using these kits a few times a year.

Be careful not to swallow any gel. Gently remove any residue that might be left on your teeth or gums with a cloth, a clean finger or a soft toothbrush. Rinse your mouth thoroughly after treatment.

Some people respond very well and teeth can get up to 3-4 shades lighter after just 5-7days of bleaching or up to 5 shades whiter with one ZOOM in office treatment. Others may not notice as much change. Your teeth will continue to lighten for a couple of days even after you stop a whitening session.

The American Dental Association has recommended a maximum of 10 percent for teeth whitening. Gels that are available for at-home trays have a concentration of 22 percent.

Leave the trays in your mouth for 20-30 minutes when using 35% Carbamide Peroxide. You can increase the whitening time after a few sessions. In the case that you experience sensitivity, do not increase whitening time. Do not exceed a treatment time of more than 1 hour a day.

Wear the trays filled with Opalescence solution for 1 hour per day for 14 days. The trays may be worn overnight also. To maximize the effect, you may do both.

While the best results are typically achieved by wearing the trays for consecutive days, this is not neces- sary to achieve the smile you desire. Wearing them every other day or even once a week can give great results! Once you have achieved the white smile you desire, stop wearing the trays.
