I live above M&S and across from Tesco Express and near a big Tesco, could get to an Asda with effort but no Sainsburys or Waitrose near by (unfortunately) and was wondering if i could get hold of pheasant in any of them? Local butchers doesn't.
Cheers

You could go out for a country drive and knock one down?

Have you tried online?
Sainsbury's and Ocado both do Guinea Fowl in their online stores or you could find a specialist

Not quite legal. If you run down the pheasant you can't take it, but, if the car in front hits it then you can.
To buy a pheasant you need to find a game dealer or the local farmers market. Most supermarkets have game licences but don't sell much game except venison.

I've just logged into my Tesco account and then went into Express Shopper and typed in "Pheasant"; it didn't bring anything up.

You want a nice, freshly shot one.
We used to have pheasant all the time, when my Grandpa went shooting.

If you live in an urban area then I guess most good butchers could source you one, whereas most butchers in rural areas will sell pheasant all the time when its in season (I don't think it is in season until winter, so you are probably best of waiting until then).

CheersThey're out of season now, so you shouldn't actually be able to get one anywhere - though I'm sure some of our more ingenious DS-ers might be able to manage it!
Tsk tsk! That said, once the pheasant season starts, you could ask your butcher if he can get you however many you want. Most small butchers can source whatever sort of meat you want, if you give them a bit of notice.

Tsk tsk!Presumably that's why it's not showing on the Tesco website "express shopper" search at the moment.
